SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- Open tryouts for a Douglas County adult football team are taking place Saturday, November 12.

Tryouts for the 2017 Douglas County Timberwolves will take place at 1 p.m. at the Sutherlin High School football field.

The team will also be collecting canned food for the local food pantry.

The Timberwolves are an adult minor league football team preparing for its third season.

They play a spring season in a nine-man league.

Anyone 18 years or older is welcome to try out.

Tryouts are free. The team asks that you bring a nonperishable food donation.
