The Umpqua Community College women's basketball team opened the 2016-17 season in impressive fashion.

The Riverhawks (3-0) beat host Clackamas 82-54 Sunday afternoon in the title game at the Thanksgiving Invitational in Oregon City.

Jordan Stotler scored 29 points and Tasia Bilbrew added 19 points to lead UCC.

In the three tournament games, Umpqua outscored its opponents by an average of 35 points.
