A pair of South Umpqua football players have been honored by the state's coaches.

Senior linebacker Cody Gray was named to the Oregonian/OregonLive's all-state first team defense.

Gray, also the Lancers starting quarterback, led SU to a 6-4 overall record and a berth in the Class 4A state quarterfinals.

Junior wide receiver Taylor Gross was an honorable mention selection along with senior offensive lineman Bailey Johnson.

Gross (WR, DB) and Johnson (OL) were first team all-league selections in the Far West League.
