Poor weather conditions couldn't stop local basketball teams from playing Tuesday night.

South Umpqua lost its final non-league game of the season at Elmira 54-50; and Sutherlin upended visiting Stayton 43-36.

Taylor Stricklin (21) and Kiersten Haines (15) combined for 36 points as the Bulldogs improved to 10-3 on the season.
