LA GRANDE, Ore. -- Oregon Tech’s Brandon Halter has been named the Cascade Conference Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Halter, a senior from Glide, helped the Hustlin' Owls to a sweep of two NAIA Top 25 Teams this weekend.

On Saturday he led Oregon Tech with 25 points, going 7 of 12 from long range on the way to a 90-57 victory over No. 17 the College of Idaho.

Sunday, Halter scored 20 points, going 7 of 13 from the field, as Tech knocked off No. 5 Eastern Oregon 98-81.

The Owls are now 11-0 at home this season, winners of nine straight and in a three-way tie for first place in the CCC standings.

Oregon Tech (15-5, 8-2 CCC) will be on the road next Friday and Saturday as they take on Evergreen State College and Northwest University in Washington before returning home for a three-game home stand hosting Multnomah University, Warner Pacific and Southern Oregon University January 26, 28 and 31.
