Friday night marked the midway point of the Far West League basketball season.

There's a three-way atop the girls standings thanks to Douglas's upset victory over Marshfield 56-51. The Trojans, Pirates and North Bend are 4-1 in league play.

SU dropped to 0-5 after a 58-16 setback in Brookings.

The South Umpqua boys (0-5, 9-10) remained winless in the FWL with a 55-44 loss at Brookings-Harbor (1-4, 7-11).

Cody Gray had 16 points and Jonathan Warner added 10 points for the Lancers.

Douglas (3-2, 8-10) outscored Marshfield 20-4 in the 4th quarter enroute to a 50-37 victory. The two teams along with Siuslaw are in a three-way tie for 2nd place.

Parker Sheppard led the Trojans with 12 points.
