State wrestling tournament berths will be on the line this weekend in Tri City.

South Umpqua High School will host the 12-team Class 4A Special Region 3 event beginning Friday at noon with semifinals and consolation matches taking place Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM.

Championship matches are set for 5:00PM.

The event will bring together teams from the Far West League (South Umpqua, Douglas, Siuslaw, Brookings, North Bend and Marshfield)  and the Skyline Conference (North Valley, Hidden Valley, Phoenix, Mazama, Henley and Klamath Union).

The top five finishers in each weight class will advance to the OSAA State Tournament, February 24-25, at Memorial Coliseum in Portland.
 
Admission per session is $6 for adults and $4 for students. A pass to cover all three sessions is available for $15 for adults and $10 for students. Doors will open one hour prior to the start of each session.
