ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The first coach's meeting for women's slow-pitch softball in Douglas County is this Friday (March 24) at 6 p.m. at the Douglas County Library.
Also, men's and women's leagues will be teaming up to organize a field maintenance day this Saturday, March 25, at 9 a.m. at Sunshine Park.
Organizers say they will be replacing 2nd & 3rd bases on all fields, the mat on Field 1 and some smaller projects along with basic field maintenance.
They are hoping to recruit at least one member from each team to help out.
DCWSSA (Douglas County Women's Slow Pitch Softball Association) is an independent non-profit organization.
