PORTLAND, Ore. -- 13 gymnasts from Umpqua Valley Gymnastics took part at the USA Gymnastics State Championships at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland.

The event took place March 18-20.

25 teams from around the state of Oregon converged on the convention center for the event,  which was hosted by Westside Gymnastics Club.

Umpqua Valley Gymnastics finished the tournament with three state titles from Megan Moyo and Shaelee Shears.

Moyo successfully defended her second championship title on Floor with a 9.575 score.

Shears was easily the best vaulter of the day with a score of 9.425 and also earned herself a second state title on Bars.
