Connor Yates scored a touchdown on South Umpqua's opening drive and the Lancers never looked back to earn their first Far West League win of the season.

The senior running back finished with 3 rushing TD's and quarterback William Wylie threw a pair of touchdown passes to Johnathan Warner in the 47-7 victory over Brookings-Harbor Friday night at Kent Wigle Stadium in Tri City.

SU's Taylor Gross returned a blocked punt for a touchdown and junior Azpyn Roberts scored a TD on a fumble recovery.

South Umpqua improves to 1-1 in league and 2-3 overall.
