WINSTON, Ore. -- The Douglas football team fell at home to North Bend Friday in a Far West League game at Douglas High School in Winston.

The Bulldogs, #9 in the OSAA rankings, bested the Trojans, 38-14, on Homecoming night in Winston.

North Bend improved to 3-1 in FWL play (7-1 overall) and sits in second place in the league standings behind Marshfield (4-0, 7-0), a 50-6 winner over winless Brookings-Harbor..

Douglas (2-2, 4-3) hosts South Umpqua next Friday to cap the regular season.

Meanwhile, the Lancers (3-1 FWL, 4-3 overall) crushed winless Siuslaw, 54-7, Friday night in Florence.

Taylor Gross scored three touchdowns, including a 35-yard interception return for South Umpqua. Creedance Ferguson and Johnathan Warner each had two touchdowns for SU.
