Friday marks the end of the conference schedule for a number of Douglas County football teams.

 

South Umpqua (3-1, 4-3) travels to Douglas (2-2, 4-3) with a chance to capture sole possession of second place in the Far West League. 

 

The Lancers are coming off last week's 54-7 win at Siuslaw, while the Trojans lost to North Bend 38-14.

 

Roseburg (1-4, 2-5) closes out SWC season at Willamette (1-3, 2-5); Sutherlin (1-3, 2-5) has an uphill battle at top-ranked Cottage Grove (4-0, 7-0); and Reedsport (2-1, 4-3) hosts Toledo (1-2, 1-6).

 

There's plenty of 8-man action on tap Friday with Glendale (1-3, 3-4) hosting Elkton (3-1, 5-1); Days Creek (2-2, 3-3) entertains Powers (2-2, 2-5); Camas Valley (4-0, 6-1) plays under the lights in Prospect (0-4, 0-5); Yoncalla (2-1, 3-4) is at Mohawk (1-2, 2-5); and North Douglas (3-0 ,5-2) welcomes McKenzie (0-3, 0-5).

 

Two local teams wrap-up league play next Friday as Glide (1-2, 4-3) is home to Creswell (0-3, 0-5); and Oakland (0-2, 4-2) looks for it's first MVC win of the season when the Oakers travel to Monroe (3-0 ,5-1).
